"No single thing abides, but all things flow."
-- Heraclitus

The Flow is an original rock band based in Corvallis, Oregon. While The Flow’s music rocks with power and passion, the lyricism speaks of a folk influence. Rita Brown (vocals, keyboards, and acoustic guitar) and Bill Smyth (lead guitar, vocals, and keyboards) performed as a folk duo for several years and recorded two successful indie CDs. Mike Grattan (bass) played in the acclaimed hard rock band Knockout John. Grattan, Smyth, and Brown met while playing in the Joe Cocker tribute band, Mad Dogs and No Englishmen. The band welcomes two new band-mates: Jed Irvine on drums, and Laurie Barshay on harmony vocals. Members of The Flow have also played with popular local acts Crooked Kate, 49 Fingers, and the Neal Gladstone Band. Their debut CD, All Things Flow, was released in April, 2009.
